Quality Construction Materials

  • Bank Sand
Unprocessed/unwashed product that may contain some clay clumps, silt, or other impurities in small amounts. This product can be used for smoothing rough graded areas prior to concrete placement.
  • Silica Sand
Washed and dried sand that is screened and wll consist of clean, durable, uncoated particles free from clay clumps, and all the impurities of bank sand.
  • Masonry Sand
Meets ASTM C33 or ASTM C144 specifications for consistent application.
  • Select Fill
Commonly used below concrete foundations. Most Select Fill materials must be approved prior to and during placement by the project owner's soils engineer by means of sampling the material at the sand plant or job site. This material is a sand/clay mixture often referred to as "60/40".
  • Common Fill
Material that doesn't meet any specific chemical, physical, or mixture requirement. Common Fill is generally referred to as "cheap dirt" and often has large clay clumps and other earthen materials. It is typically the most cost-effective product when no specifications are required by a project.
  • Road Base Material
This material is sized at 3/4" 'minus' road rock or gravel and is primarily used for road foundation prep or pathways. This size and gradation allow stormwater runoff and keeps the roadway from becoming muddy. This is an excellent wet weather foundation or surface.
